Lyrik was born and raised in High Point, a small town in North Carolina. As a child growing up in Carolina she knew that her destiny was music. She had more than an interest in music she had a PASSION. At the tender age of five she began singing in the church choir. As her talents evolved so did her interest in pursuing a music career.

During her early teens, Lyrik started writing her own music. Shortly thereafter she embarked on her recording career at Powermove Studios in Greensboro, NC. Lyrik was only 15 when she was offered a deal with a major record label, yet her parents felt she was too young to pursue such a responsibility.

As the lack of opportunities grew for her to publically share her craft in her hometown, so did her hunger and desire to take her music a step further. So she moved North and Maryland became her new home. Here she would gain the knowledge and insight to further her career while aspiring to share her vocal talents.

Lyrik’s effortless attempts to share her skills and voice with those eager to listen, didn’t just stop at new friends, instead she made ground by performing at every opportunity that was extended to her including open mics, local events and even night clubs.

Lyrik was able to gain some ground and began sharing her soul and talents with others. She made time to give back to her community by assisting other artists through song writing and music production. Since that time Lyrik has been approached by countless producers, labels, organizations and industry movers requesting her to be a part of their projects.

Now that Lyrik’s passion and love for music, elevates her music career, she has become more than just a face in the crowd, but a DMV notable, she is ready for her sound and style to be known throughout the country.
